 Reception
Let's the party begins!

After cocktail hours is over, get ready to make a grand entrance that will leave your guests cheering and clapping with excitement! Oh, and don't forget to soak in the cheers, applause, and overwhelming love from your family and friends. This is your moment to bask in the spotlight and revel in the joy of being newlyweds.

The way we (Photographers) prefers speech

Would be to do it all at the same time, before or after the meal . The reason being..

  • This way your reception table will also still be neat and clean with no left over food and drink in your shots.

  • It's best to have speeches done before the meal, while you have everyone attention, all guests and children are sit and present at the table.

  • Once the speeches are done everyone will feel more relax and they can really enjoy the meal and drink freely without worries about being too drunk for their speech.

  • Also its often that our (Photographer) meal is likely to get serve last. Of course, despite the indigestion and as fast as we could stuff the food down we still need time to eat. During meal time, we often used this opportunity to change batteries on camera, and setting up for you reception etc.

So have your speech before your meal is best, alternatively after works just as well - this way we won't missed a thing. Please don't have your speech scatter after every meal.

Reception details

The reception is where all your hard work and your style really shows through. From name cards, menus, to the colours of your whole wedding. Make sure you plan out all aspects of your evening with your coordinator so things can run smoothly throughout the evening.

These are the key points that normally happen during the reception.

  • Bride and groom entrance,

  • Toasts and speeches,

  • Bouquet throw,

  • Cake cutting,

  • First dance,

  • Party & Entertainment,

  • Lastly, the bride and groom exit.

Here are a few things to consider...

  • Take your guests into consideration as it is less likely that the elder guests will stay until the end, so having your cake cutting early is a plus for grandparents and elderly guests.

  • When it comes to entertainment, make it your own, keep your guests engaged and entertained. Don’t get caught up to the formality, it’s time to let loose.

  • Sparklers and fireworks - I would recommend not to leave this until too late, as Intoxicated guests and hot sparklers/fireworks are not a great combination. We definitely want you and your guests to enjoy the moment safely.

  • To capture the fun and joy of your reception, I would recommend you plan your wedding timeline so you can have at least 1 hour of first dance & party photography coverage. Like us to stay until you exit the party? Don’t think you have enough coverage? We are happy to discuss additional coverage with you. We have various options that you can potentially add to your original package.

Cake Cutting

When it comes to this sweet tradition, we've got some fantastic suggestions that will make it even more memorable.

If the weather is on your side and the sun is still shining, why not embrace the great outdoors and cut your cake al fresco? Imagine the vibrant blue sky as your backdrop, with a gentle breeze adding a touch of whimsy to the moment. It's the perfect recipe for a picture-perfect cake-cutting experience that will have everyone swooning.

But hey, we've got a backup plan too! In case outdoor festivities aren't possible, fear not, because we've got a brilliant idea up our sleeves. We'll kindly ask your venue to turn up their lights to full blast, creating an atmosphere that will rival the sunniest day. Think dazzling brightness and a warm glow that will illuminate your cake and add a dash of magic to the occasion.

Here's a tip: Let's sprinkle some extra sparkle on this moment by coordinating with your DJ or band to play a lively, upbeat tune as you approach the cake. It's like setting the stage for a mini-party that will have everyone dancing and clapping along. Trust us, it's all about creating that infectious energy and joy that will make your cake-cutting a standout moment.

And remember, it's not just about cutting the cake—it's about embracing the laughter, love, and shared happiness with your friends and family. So go ahead, get playful with that cake knife, exchange mischievous glances, and perhaps even sneak a playful swipe of icing on each other's noses. It's all part of the fun!

Let's Dance

Get ready to sway, twirl, and embrace the magic of your first dance as a married couple!

This is the moment where time seems to stand still, and all eyes are on you. To ensure that your first dance is a truly unforgettable experience, we've got some tips that will make it interesting, informative, and loads of fun.

First things first, choose a song that resonates with both of you and reflects the essence of your love story. It could be a classic ballad that tugs at the heartstrings or an upbeat tune that gets everyone on the dance floor. Whatever you decide, make sure it's a song that makes you smile and ignites that spark between you.

Now, here's where the fun begins. Consider taking a few dance lessons together to add some extra flair and confidence to your moves. It's the perfect opportunity to learn some impressive dips, spins, and stylish footwork that will leave your guests in awe. Don't worry if you're not a natural dancer—we'll guide you every step of the way! Here's a pro tip: Practice, practice, practice! Take some time before the big day to rehearse your dance routine. But remember, it's not just about nailing the steps—it's about connecting with each other, sharing a tender gaze, and enjoying the beautiful moment you're creating together. Let the music sweep you away and let your love shine through every graceful movement.

To add an element of surprise and excitement, consider incorporating a special moment into your first dance. It could be a dramatic dip, a confetti shower, or even a choreographed section where you break out into a completely different dance style. Get creative, be bold, and let your personalities shine through!

And here's a little secret: Don't worry about perfection. This is your moment to enjoy, so if you stumble or miss a step, just laugh it off and keep dancing. It's those spontaneous and genuine moments that will make your first dance truly unique and memorable. So, get ready to step into the spotlight and create a mesmerizing moment that will be etched in your hearts forever. Let the music guide you, the love surround you, and the dance floor become your own private world of enchantment. It's time to take that leap, share a magical embrace, and embark on a dance that symbolizes the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

TIPS!

** Please request to your music band / DJ that while we are photographing your wedding, We would prefer it if they DON'T USE LASER light **

 - Why? Laser light can seriously damage our camera lens & sensor and this may result in £10,000 equipment need repair or replacing and without fully functional equipment at your wedding day we may have to stop. So it's a NO FOR LASER please.

Exist in style.

Get ready to ignite the night sky with a burst of mesmerizing fireworks and add a touch of magic to your wedding celebration! Fireworks and sparklers are the perfect way to create an unforgettable spectacle that will leave your guests in awe. Here's some interesting and informative tidbits about these dazzling displays of light and joy.

Imagine this: as the sun sets and darkness envelops the sky, a hush falls over the crowd in anticipation. Suddenly, a brilliant explosion of colors and shimmering lights fills the air, painting the night with radiant hues. It's a breathtaking display that will leave your guests speechless and create a sense of wonder that lingers in their hearts.

But let's not forget about the enchantment of sparklers! These handheld wonders bring a whimsical and playful element to your celebration. Picture your loved ones holding sparkling sticks of light, creating a magical atmosphere as they dance and twirl around you. It's a moment of pure joy and merriment that will be etched in your memory forever.

Now, here's the important part: safety first! Fireworks and sparklers can be a lot of fun, but it's essential to ensure a safe and controlled environment. Work closely with professional fireworks experts who will handle the display with expertise and precision. They will ensure that all safety measures are in place, allowing you to enjoy the show without any worries.

And let's not forget about the incredible photo opportunities! The vibrant explosions of fireworks and the sparkling trails of sparklers make for stunning and unforgettable images. Your wedding album will be filled with moments of pure magic, capturing the essence of your celebration in a way that words simply cannot express.

So, get ready to light up the night and add a touch of wonder to your wedding day. Whether it's a grand fireworks display that fills the sky or a joyful sparkler send-off, these captivating spectacles will create memories that will last a lifetime.

Let's create a celebration that sparkles and shines, where fireworks paint the sky with bursts of joy and sparklers ignite the night with their radiant glow.

If the package you bought is not enough to cover this, No worries you have an option to extend this on the day. We will be there as long as you need us, so just let us know.

TIPS!

  • How does this normally work? I often ask my couples to stay in one place and switch into different poses while the sparklers and firework go off.  Light at night can be little tricky so minimising movement really helps!

  • Get the longest Sparklers available. I would highly recommended the 18 inch ones as this will give us a longer window of opportunity for photography!

  • With sparklers* You don't have to wait until dark! Dim light work very well for these shots and your guests are not too intoxicated.

  • Don’t forget to bring a wind-proof lighter. Imagine trying to light the sparklers on windy day?

  • Remember to switch positions...change from looking at each other, to looking away, and even kisses!
