Portraits

It's time to gather the whole crew and strike a pose for the epic wedding group portrait!

I'm like a stealthy photography ninja, blending into the background, capturing those authentic, candid moments that unfold naturally throughout your special day. It's my signature style, and it adds a touch of magic to your wedding album.

But hey, let's talk about those must-have formal group shots! I know how important it is to capture those cherished moments with your parents and grandparents. These shots are like treasures, a way to freeze time and honor the bonds that have shaped your journey. We'll gather your beloved parents and grandparents, arranging them in a way that showcases their love, pride, and sheer happiness for you. And don't worry, I'll make it enjoyable and stress-free. We might even throw in some lighthearted prompts or silly poses to add that extra touch of fun and spontaneity. The beauty of these formal group shots is that they become treasured heirlooms, passed down through generations. They capture the essence of your family's love and support, forever frozen in time, reminding you of the incredible day when two families became one.

Let's get the party started with an organized and fun-filled group portrait!

To ensure smooth sailing and maximize the time we have, I kindly request your assistance in creating a list of each group with the fabulous individuals who will be part of it. Here are a few examples to help you get started:

Group 1 Everyone
Group 2 Mums & dads  (Andy, Caroline, Dave, Tina)

Now, here's a pro tip: Let's kick things off by capturing the bigger group photos first while everyone is gathered and in high spirits. It's the perfect way to include everyone and create a dynamic atmosphere. Afterward, we can smoothly transition into smaller groups, giving each one their well-deserved moment in the spotlight. This ensures that each group gets their special time without taking up too much of your valuable celebration moments. Rest assured, with this well-organized approach, we'll breeze through the group photos swiftly while maintaining the fun and excitement of the day.

We're on a mission to create epic group photos, and we need a special volunteer to step up and take charge. This is a crucial task, so we're looking for someone who knows both families like the back of their hand—a true hero among groomsmen or bridesmaids. Here's the deal: We need this superstar to help us organize and shout out names like a pro. They'll be the maestro of group photo coordination, ensuring that everyone is lined up and ready to strike a pose in no time.

But don't worry, we'll provide our volunteer with all the necessary guidance and support to make sure they feel confident in their mission. They'll have the power to rally both families and create a seamless flow of group photo magic.

So, put on your superhero capes and nominate someone who embodies the spirit of both families. Let them take the spotlight and lead the way to group photo greatness. It's a role of honour and responsibility that will forever be remembered in the wedding album.

Calling all wedding superheroes!

Family Protrait

Those who are dear to you.  Here it is all about your family and friends group portraits. This usually takes place right after the ceremony, generally we recommend a maximum of 10 group shots, to ensure they are quick, fun, and don’t interfere with your day. We often recommend having this done outdoors for better light. I would recommend making a list also with the guest’s name, give it to your coordinator and have them called out for the specific portraits.
For example…
Bride & Groom with both parents (Peter, Mandy, Chris, Trisha)

Nail your couple portrait.

When it comes to your breathtaking Bride & Groom portrait, the timing will depend on the daylight available. We suggest scheduling this session right after the group photos. It's the perfect moment to celebrate your newlywed bliss and capture those intimate moments together.

Once we've captured those romantic portraits, it's time to head back to the party! You and your partner will have the chance to greet your guests, while we sneak into the reception area to photograph the stunning setup before everyone enters. We'll capture the ambiance, the details, and the excitement building up for an unforgettable celebration.

But wait, the fun doesn't stop there! We'll join you once again to capture candid shots of you and your guests in action. Whether it's tearing up the dance floor, sharing laughter and stories, or simply enjoying the moment, we'll be there to document those joyful memories.

Portrait Location

Sometimes portrait locations can be limited, due to weather and venue itself, So what can we do? Don’t worry about a thing, put your trust in us and you will love the result. You might be surprised to hear that many of my photoshoots happen on side streets, busy local parks or even crowded town centres. When you look at the result you would be amazed to know what the original location was. Challenges can be fun, sometimes we may not have the opportunity to choose the location, but it is down to us as the photographer to make it work.

CAMERA SHY? Don't worry!

I believe that every couple has their own way of expressing so call 'LOVE'

We totally get it—some of us feel a little camera-shy and awkward when it comes to striking a pose. But fear not, because I've worked with countless couples who were initially a bit reserved in front of the camera, just like me!

Here's the exciting part: I'm here to help you feel at ease and make posing a breeze. Trust me, you're in capable hands. We'll create stunning photos together without any discomfort or forced cheesy smiles. Who needs that when we can capture genuine romance and natural beauty?

Now, here's a fantastic suggestion for our shy but fabulous lovers out there—let's dive into an engagement session! It's the perfect opportunity for you both to get to know me better, witness my shooting style, and experience how I communicate and direct. Plus, it's a chance to practice your posing skills in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

During this session, we'll focus on building trust, having fun, and bringing out your authentic selves. There's no pressure to go for those dramatic snogging moments unless it genuinely reflects your vibe. We can create a romantic atmosphere without clichés. It's all about capturing your unique love story and creating images that truly reflect who you are as a couple.

The best part? These engagement photos will help you feel at ease and confident when it comes to your bride and groom portraits on your wedding day. You'll be pros at striking a pose, radiating pure joy and love.

So, embrace your adventurous side and let's embark on a journey of stunning photos, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Together, we'll capture your love story in the most authentic and fabulous way possible.

Get ready to unleash your inner supermodels!

Wedding In Rain

So what do we do if it’s raining? Weather is something we don’t have control over, so let’s make the most of it. An overcast sky can be beautiful, the dark clouds create an interesting and dramatic feel to your images. Even though we might not spend most of the time outdoors, it can be lovely to have some shots taken outside. If the rain is not too extreme we can still have some wonderful images in the rain. If you don’t mind getting a little wet of course, just be sure to have an umbrella in hand.

**Please make sure to inform your guests to bring an Umbrella with them, this is essential for those whose would like portraits outside or outdoor ceremony!

 Nail your couple portrait!

If you have booked your engagement shoot with me previously you can totally skip this part as you will already know the drill! If you haven’t been on a photo session with us as a couple, stay tuned, you will need this advice to perfect your couple portraits.

Empty your pockets!

No keys or mobile phone showing through your pockets or making odd creases and shadows on your outfit. This can look slightly questionable, especially for guys!

Engage with each other

Forget that you’re having your photo taken, be yourselves, act how you normally would in a more tactile way, be present with one another, give each other full attention. Laugh, talk, make jokes, be as weird and wonderful as you want. Don’t try to force it.

Get comfortable with PDA

We are going to see you guys kissing and cuddling so you might as well embrace it. Let the love flow, hold hands, look at each other and don’t be afraid to throw in cheeky kisses.

Ignore the Camera

If candid and natural style is what you are looking for, simply ignore the camera as if we were never there. We will let you know when we want you to gaze at the camera. So spend the rest of the time engaging with each other.

Take the Photographer’s direction

Location, time to shoot, how to stand… Trust us fully. We usually spend lots of our time researching locations and lighting, we live to bring and capture those precious moments. Be open minded, listen to our guidance and embrace what we may bring. You’re only going to do this once, so give it your all and get those epic photos.
